Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. Participates in 25th AMEICC Automotive Industry Working Group Meeting

The Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA) participated in the 25th AMEICC Working Group on Automotive Industry (WG-AI) held on November 12–13, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, as part of the Philippine delegation led by the Department of Trade and Industry – Board of Investments (DTI-BOI).

Representing the Philippine truck manufacturing sector, TMA supported the DTI-BOI presentations and policy discussions during the meeting, which brought together government and industry representatives from ASEAN Member States and Japan to exchange views on regional automotive industry developments. The participation highlights TMA’s continued commitment to regional cooperation, policy dialogue, and industry alignment within the ASEAN-Japan automotive framework.

As part of the program, TMA also took part in industry benchmarking activities, including discussions and site learning related to old vehicle scrappage and end-of-life vehicle management practices in Malaysia, providing valuable insights that may support future policy and industry initiatives in the Philippines.

TMA’s participation in the AMEICC WG-AI reflects the association’s active engagement in regional automotive platforms and its support for government-led initiatives aimed at strengthening commercial vehicle market competitiveness, sustainability, and responsible vehicle lifecycle management.
